Venezuelan artist residing at Columbia, Missouri. She studied Fine Arts at Universidad Central de Venezuela and got her master’s degree at Kookmin University, Seoul, South Korea. She has been painting ever since she can remember. She did her first solo exhibition in 1998, “Instante Previo”. From then on, she has had 22 other solo exhibitions and countless group exhibitions in Venezuela and abroad (Argentina, Dominican Republic, South Korea, China, Spain, England, Honduras, Rumania, USA). She has participated in four artist residency programs: Instituto Rural de Arte Hoz del Júcar, Alcalá del Júcar, Spain, 2007; Imagine Gallery, Beijing, China, 2008; Musung Art Gallery, Shanghai, China, 2010; Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art, Gyeonggido-do, Gwangju, South Korea, 2011. She is the cofounder of the non-profit organization Artistas en Conjunto (2010, Caracas, Venezuela), a non-profit organization that aims to promote the work of Venezuelan artists in Venezuela and abroad. Under the representation of María Elena Kravetz Gallery (Argentina) and Banditrazos Gallery (South Korea), Cristina has participated in numerous art fairs: SOFA Chicago, SOFA New York, ArtPalmBeach, KIAF, MANIF, Asia Hotel Art Fair, among others.
